  • About the Winery

    The Cox Family farm began with Grandpa Jack Leroy Cox, who purchased a small sheep farm with a few acres of carignane in Mendocino, CA. He fell in love with the land and made the 1856 farmhouse his home. It is because of Grandpa JLC that the Cox sisters, now 8th generation farmers, are able to produce wine from their own fruit to tell the stories of those who came before them. They don’t source from anywhere other than their backyard, which inculdes vineyard blocks including chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, malbec, old vine carignane, old vine zinfandel, and more.
